DS>Bob... DS>BK> DS> I have to wonder if the warnings of "zero day DS>BK> DS> vulnerabilities to turn XP systems into zombi-bots" is DS>BK> DS> just a "scare tactic" by Microsoft, to get people to DS>BK> DS> throw away perfectly good working hardware and software, DS>BK> DS> just to satisfy their corporate bank account. DS>BK> I absolutely believe that to be true. DS> I've talked to several friends who work in IT, and they told me that DS>as long as I'm careful about what websites I visit, and keep my DS>anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewalls up to date, there's no rush on DS>upgrading until I can afford it (which is likely NEVER). And, with DS>perfectly good working hardware and software, WHY should I upgrade?? I have two XP machins in my Inventory and they are set up to do what i and and no chenges are palnned. I an using a Boot Drive Cloning program to do my backups so when the day comes that accidently shoot myself in the foot I will jsut swap the Boot drive and immediatly reclone it and be off and running. DS> If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
