subject: Compiling husky: no rules

Hola Maurice :)

Thanks for the quick response :)

I'm afraid it hasn't.

I erased the huskybse dir to make sure and decompressed the tar anew.
Copied the huskybse/huskymak.cfg to home/phil/husky14 and did:

aguacate:/home/phil/husky14/smapi# make clean
make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `clean'. Alto.
aguacate:/home/phil/husky14/smapi# make
make: *** No se especificó ningún objetivo y no se encontró ningún makefile. Alto.
aguacate:/home/phil/husky14/smapi# make install
make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `install'. Alto.
aguacate:/home/phil/husky14/smapi# make all install
make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `all'. Alto.

So I guess my
make --version
GNU Make 3.80
either is not properly installed or my configs are not right in some way. I
have not seen anybody having the same problem in this area nor in all I've
searched.

I've tried
dpkg-reconfigure make
Fine but did not help.

Also, I apt-get install libsmapi (only husky pkgs available in stable Debian)

||/ Nombre                 Versión                Descripción
+++-======================-======================-=============================
ii libsmapi-dev 2.4.0+rc2-2 MsgAPI for the
Husky-Packages
ii libsmapi2 2.4.0+rc2-2 MsgAPI for the Husky-Packages

Tried while in /home/phil/husky/smapi
make -d clean | less
and did not see that make looked for a ¿file? huskymak.cfg. Only for things
like GNUmakefile.*, *Makefile.*, *makefile.* and *.clean.*

More tries:
# make --makefile=/home/phil/husky14/huskymak.cfg clean
make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `clean'. Alto.
aguacate:/home/phil/husky14/smapi# make -f /home/phil/husky14/huskymak.cfg clean
make: *** No hay ninguna regla para construir el objetivo `clean'. Alto.

Tried with -r, with --debug, looked at output of make -p ...

Also renaming huskymak.cfg to Makefile. Nothing new.

What else could/should I try?
I'm rather frustrated by now for not being able to get past this first and
¿easy? hurdle.

It all boils down to make not recognising huskymak.cfg.
Should I try the CVS files instead of the stable? I would have to learn how
to do it but I'm ready to try anything by now.

Thank you again, Maurice.

Felipe :)
