I use FiFTP to do all my automated FTP sessions. I use it extensively to pull 
my FIDO mail from George Peace. You can also use NcFTP as it has scripting 
and macro capability. 
Lastly, make sure you aren't doing something silly like keep your BBS offline 
while you toss mail. You run a multitasking system, multitask! My motto, at 
least one thread for every task, and for some tasks more!
