Hey Kees!
KvE> There is a compiletime option to link golded to the wide
KvE> character version of ncurses, that may improove the results.
It still might require the LANG call depending on the enviroment. The latest
nano I used in a previous test required it despite the configure --enable-utf8
switch. Without LANG being set nano had issues displaying utf8 characters but
dod still get them right once the message was saved. Having bash setting LANG
or setting it on the commandline for nano corrects this behavior. I suspect
golded may require the same fix but I don't know since I haven't bothered with
golded lately.
Do you think it might be worthwhile to have a looksee? Last time I looked I
saw nothing there worth the extra effort. WeBeBashing and vim is WAY better
methinks and is native to any half decent Linux distribution, with or without
utf8 capabilities. I seriously doubt golded can compete.
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
