subject: Bug Report: Squish Dupe Checker Broken

Wes:

I know I've seen Bo report on this before, but I can confirm that the dupe
checker in squish in the 3.02b code snapshot is broken. The Linux 3.03b
squish is tossing messages as dupes that my OS/2 system (running squish for
the tosser, need to look up the version number) sees as good messages (i.e.
messages are not a dupe).....

Reading and tossing non-dupe messages to the squish formated echo areas,
where the message bases were copied over from my OS/2 box, seems to be
running fine.

Entering messages via the Maximus full screen editor works, as long as I
use control-k control-d to end the message, instead of the control-z that
I'm used to. [I still need to disable the shell interpreting certain
control characters.]

Once I get setup for editing the code from here, I am going to submit
something to optionally turn off the dupe checker in Squish until we can
get that portion of the code fixed.

Take care.....
