>Primarily on the Amiga, where I do my creative work, Final Writer 97. =

When I do work on the PC it is mostly Final Writer 95 a port of the=20
Amiga program to windows. It is set on sane settings as the default.=20
When forced to I'll use WordPerfect 7, which is less sane I don't even=20
have Word.
>Yes, in a word. Mickey soft is beating me up right now, I had the first
one about spell checked and the thing crashed, unsaved of course.
In one breath, Garry says that he doesn't have Word, and then he blames
"Mi= ckey
Soft" for something that crashed and killed his work. Presumably,
this wor= k was
not done on his beloved Amiga computer. I've never heard of Final Writer. =
Was
using "Final Writer 95" what caused this crash? Actually, I've
found on my computer that Word 2002 crashes quite a bit, and all the time
while doing t= he same
thing, closing the program (by which time, the files have all been safely s= tored).
Windows XP, for all of its flaws (like its inability to upload files to the=
Web), is at
least stable. It has never crashed (but then again, neither did Windows 98=
;
applications went down but the operating system never did).
