Have they always sucked, or is it new?  Does the 201 have adjustable
tweeter directivity?  Better to check for and try all available adjust-
ments first, then maybe take them in for a check at an authorized Bose
service agency.
Also try to hear the same models in others' systems.  This helps you
figure out if you dislike 201s or some other component of your system
or room.
Nobody's perfect.  You may just have some defective transducers in your
systems, or a faulty crossover, a loose internal wire, etc.
Don't substitute anything  without a lot of thought and if available
professional advice from Bose or someone else you trust.  It's not as
simple as matching tweeter impedance, sensitivity, frequency response,
and getting it wired in phase and mounted in your enclosure. The sound
quality can still _suck_ if the driver doesn't match its crossover in
ways relating to phase angles, I think.
