-Os works better here as far as size and compatibilty are concerned.  You
should be able to get away with 'gcc -m32 -Os' for all the husky stuff if
you are worried about 32-bit compatibilty.  The last build on the multilib
partition (about half an hour ago) I used 'gcc -m64 -Os' and got away with
it.  This is what I am using as we speak as the pure 64-bit partition was a
bit flakey wrt syslinux and some burning software.

I still need to rebuild the multilib partition as I think the nvidia X
driver might have leaked into my last build of xorg.  Definetly something
odd happened there.  I hate leakage.  :-/
