There is no "violation" of anything. FTSC documents document current practice.
SBBSECHO changed current practice, which does not "violate" anything. If other
software decided to go that route, it could eventually become current practice.

IS THIS NOT HOW IT WORKS????

There is no such thing as violating anything regarding the FTSC. This is how
new proposals and new standards are born. Get off your high horse.
