I believe Scott did compile the code before he released the source.  The
problem is duplicating his development enviornment.  The compilers and
other utilities Scott used are now a bit old, and are not the versions you
would get if you bought off the shelf today..... if even available.  Plus,
I was trying to compile under OS/2 where his last round of development was
under a Win32 basaed box.....  If someone has the older tools, and
duplicates Scotts development environment, it should work.....

So, one person has successfully compile them.
