Damn bloody multitasking OS.  I left the computer to do some other chores and 
when I came back, the original message to you had already been scanned out 
before I had finished redoing it (I talk the messages into the computer first 
and then edit them using the KB/mouse). The last sentence should have read:
I haven't noticed any improvements with v.34 or x2 when the ISP's pipeline is 
clogged.
