This is for NetWare to administrate NSS.  Without this
special volume NSS cannot exist.

Try asking in comp.os.netware.misc.  The comp.os.netware.*
newsgroups get way more traffic than fido.novell.  You might
also ask in the Novell Support forums.  Point your
newsreader to the news server at newa://forums.novell.com.
