I think both BNU and X00 are freeware, not shareware.  More certain on the
BNU one.  And if you're going for shareware, there is MCOMM available,
which is what I have used up till now.  Then there's the PD COMX8612.* from
Dave Hatch, and the newest arrival, PDCOMM!  BFN.
