I imagine much the same happened here.  I gave my set to my son in law, as he
was a trucker.  I dont think they have radios in their trucks any more, at
least not the company he drives for.   Not allowed to talk and drive at same
time

Not sure what the new public radio service is called these days, but it uses a
different spectrun I believe

Cant remember what mine was , and yes, actually legally needed one for each
set.  I had one and my wife had one.  I used mine for both mobile and station.
