CM> WEARING of seatbelts is a law in most states, we aren't talking
CM> personal safety ... we are talking you are _NOW_ a criminal if
CM> you do not wear them . Where is the justice here please ?
 JC>
JC> The "justice" is that the law was put into place by either the people
JC> of your community or their elected representatives. That's how our
 JC> form of government works.

No seatbelt laws were passed because the BIG 3 was going to have
to put air bags in all cars before a certain date and the goverment
said fine them put seatbelts in all if them now then or else !!
Allen Greenspan was never elected, he was appointed . did you
vote for a higher intrest rate ?

JC> You keep implying that I am "happy" being a "slave" or opposed to
 JC> "reform". STOP IT.

Then stop playing games , I said I dissaprove of the IRS and
the Federal Reserve not all taxes or all goverment. I dissagree
with the idea of people being a slave to the goverment rather
than a active part of it . This is all I say!
JC> I _choose_ to pay _some_ taxes to have the type of government that
JC> you enjoy. I _voluntarily_ make that amount as small as possible. I
JC> don't pay any tobacco tax, liquor tax, sales tax (as long as I buy
JC> within my own state). I could avoid income tax by not having any
JC> declarable income (panhandlers do it all the time). I could avoid real
JC> estate tax by not buying/owning any real estate. BUT... because I feel
JC> that I can be more comfortable with an income (as opposed to
JC> panhandling) I _voluntarily_ submit to the obligation to pay taxes. No
JC> one is holding a gun to my head saying I MUST work for a wage. Just
JC> like no one is FORCING me to buy cigarettes so I can pay the tobacco
JC> tax. (Nice article in today's local paper about taxes, government, and
 JC> the public's perception.)
Who is kidding who Jim ? You would still need a place to live
and food to eat, you pay hiden taxes on all these things already.

JC> Those "few who control all the others" were _elected_ by the "others"
JC> for the express purpose of being "in control". That's the way a
JC> "representative republic" works. I am not real happy about the fact
JC> that a Republican controls the Congress, but one way I can voice my
JC> opinion is at the ballot box. (BTW, I'm not real happy about the
JC> Democrat that controls the White House, either. That's why I didn't
JC> vote for either the Demos or the Repubs.)

New laws are passed daily, that you did not vote for and nor did
you vote for your elected offical to pass them because I am sure
there are laws being written you have know forehand kmowledge of
and these laws take freedom away form you . Case in point : no
clild under the age of 16 shall ride a bycycle in the state of GA.
unless the are waring a helmet. Sounds like a good law to me if you
make the helemts :) Though I am not opposed to good public safty
laws, the people were never ask to vote.

C> BTW, you would love the class I'm in now. We are studying various
JC> cases as decided by the Supreme Court, which as you may know is in the
JC> business of deciding "Constitutionality". Perhaps you can persuade a
JC> lawyer to take your issues of taxes or your issue of seatbelt laws to
JC> the Supreme Court. Then we would really know if they were
 JC> "Constitutional" or not.
 CM> Now if
CM> you are truely happy being a slave,
JC> "There you go again" - Ronald Reagan

Sorry I did not vote for Reagan can't lay that one on me :)

JC> post an opinion. But if you are going to post _extremely_ _radical_
JC> ideas or unsubstantiated opinions, you had better be prepared for some
JC> "incoming flak". Even my professor doesn't allow someone in the class
JC> to simply say: "I disagree." They had better be prepared to say _why_
JC> they disagree with some logical reasoning.
You don't know me Jim and yet you call me a radical ??? Really!
