That's wierd. I don't seem to have that issue here, but I've been invoking nano
with these options: -E -S -R -c -m -d -$
I would assume that the -$ is what's taking care of the softwrap, so I'm unsure
as to why you're having that problem and I'm not?

I may get to like vim after all. Still using it to reply to this one, and all
seems to be working as expected. :)
