I think they might have changed that from "floppy" to
"removable media." 

In PKZIP for Windows v2.50 it is: "diskettes or other media." 


PKZIP -&s[drive] [drive:\zipfile]

-& Span disks
 s[drive] Back up entire disk w/ subdirs (-rp) [drive to back up]

[drive:\zipfile] Floppy or CD-ROM drive to write to. 

This should work, UNLESS your computer considers the CD-ROM drive as 
another hard drive. 
PKZIP v2.50 might have addressed that problem.
