I just received in the mail the new ATM books from Willmann-Bell
http://www.willbell.com/ (If they made it to Uzbekistan...plenty of other
folks should be taking delivery of their copies in the US.)

I am especially reading the article from Best of ATMJ, Vol 2 "Digital
Knife-Edge Test Reduction" by Harold R. Suiter. (Section 13.2, pg.
80...from issue #13 of the original ATMJ)

The article has been updated from the original, with recent analysis and
comments and comparison of methods and results of Michael Peck.

Essential reading for those considering digital knife edge testing with a
web cam or CCD.

Complaining about your web cam not having enough 'bit depth' to do a more
accurate job? See: www.scanti.ru/docs/datasheets/socs058c.pdf For a data
sheet of the Texas Instruments TI 281. Chip costs about
$130. Hmmmmm...maybe a version of the "Megapixel Cookbook CCD" can be
based on this for digital foucalt testing. Hmmmmmmm.
