MMD> Thats cool. only is there a *.msg renumbering tool such as MMD> 170renum.exe? If I had to switch to *.msg bases I would really need MMD> such a tool. I don't rember if squish had such an option for *.msg MMD> format. Simply renumbering files under UNIX is a simple matter of a shell script, but that would screw up users' high water mark. That said, it is certainly possible *something* exists to handle *.MSG under Max/Unix (e.g. from the husky project), but I'm not aware of such a tool. I would recommend just running squish bases, which don't need to be renumbered. You can convert an existing *.MSG message base to squish with the sqconv utility. MMD> If thats similar to the the Synchronet Baja or their new MMD> Javascript languages, you are right. I don't use them either. I'm not familiar with Synchronet at all, but MEX is basically like a cross of Pascal and C++, which runs under a Java-style VM (virtual machine). Also, I'm planning on hatching out the first serial comm module sometime in the next week. No promises, though. Oh! You mentioned that your run BinkleyTerm XE. Do you know how it hands off the serial port to the application?
