DD> Your best answer is to sell this modem to Ian Smith (who DD> has trouble maintaining any connection) and buy yourself DD> something less robust. Beg pardon, David? The only modem I've had any sort of a hard time connecting with over the last year or two has been Chris Maddock's, twice recently, and that appears to be some sort of line problem, according to my AfterCall line quality figures (5 out of 7). I must admit that was a bit puzzling .. Is Chris your reference for this extraordinary claim? If not, please mention anyone else who's _ever_ lost a connection here? I've never had the slightest difficulty calling you .. what gives?
