Hey Nicholas!

NB> Consider this my first post to you using nano straight from the

It looks perfect from this angle. I note that your paragraphs are unbounded as
they should be.

I would prefer that but I understand that nano would be mnch easier to use for
most users.

NB> What issue would that be?

On new posts I am seeing hard returns at the end of the line - ~100 characters
in my case. I'll post an unfixed example later today to show you what happens.
I haven't applied the softwrap.breakpt.5057.patch you told me about way back
when but will try that to see what happens with v2.5.3.

NB> You would think they would've gotten that right by now? :)

I am unsure anyone is all that concerned about it as they probably have a set
line length in messaging just like mom used to do. Usually it was set to 72
characters to match the line printers of yore.

NB> And here's a test post using vim from the BBS!

:-)

Interesting. Are you using the gui version? I am not aware of any key
combinations in vim that might interfere or conflict with the usual BBS ones.

Let me know about softwrap.breakpt.5057.patch as I'll have to document where I
got it from if it turns out to be an absolute must have regarding this and
future issues using nano for fidonet messaging.

Life is good,
Maurice

... Don't cry for me I have vi.
