Hyya Everyone!
I know this has been discussed here several times, but, as usual, I
didn't save for the future.
I just bought a new 33.6 modem by SMARTLINK.  The modem config thingy
doesn't list any 33.6 modems.
Here's the problem:
When I use telix (dos), and the generic hspeed modem config, I get
transfers at about 3000 bps.  Seems like this should be higher.  ???
When I use TFW and the same generic config, I get transfers at about
400 bps.  I _know_ it should be higher than that.  I fooled with the
control panel (in 3.11 for Work Groups), obviously I didn't do
something right.
Que pasa?  What should I be doing?  I tried adding &G17 to the init
string (user guide sez this is default setting, spozed to allow max
speed transfers.)
I'm lost.  Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanked.
