Agree. I do much the same. Once a
vendor/store/person/utility, etc. is in the system, I
usually can write a check by typing just the first few
characters of the name and all the info is filled in
for me. It's a really handy system. It is cumbersome
only if you don't know how to use it to advantage (and
aren't a lot of things that way!)
