Dearest Bardies..

My little part of my country is under extreme fire danger, theres a 
fire burning out of control some 25kms away, and the weather forecast 
for the weekend is for extreme temperatures, and dangerously high 
winds.

We already have a deliberately lit fire started this afternoon, which 
could link up with the main fire. All it needs is the wind in the 
wrong direction.

I can smell smoke on the wind and the almost constant wail of fire 
engines.

So can I please have many good thinkings for an early cold change and 
for the resolve, courage and strength of our Fire fighters, not to 
fail in the face of what seems an unwinnable task..

It's like 1967 all over again
