Hello Mark !
ML> that sounds like what's known as "full screen" where it
looks like the
ML> old DOS CLI screen...
This full screen is not the same fullness on all my systems.
On the previous Thinkpad, it leaves a border of 1" all around, on
this newer TP, it is full screen, no margin. Why ? To get this size,
I used the Alt+CR given here by a true friend.
ML> it is not "lurking behind" as it /is/ the OS... it is not lurking
ML> behind any more than DOS was/did in the DBW (Days Before Windows) ;)
I am on XP here, Mark.
JP> I get all I need using DOS commands ???
ML> yup! in win9x and ME, DOS is still there but not quite as we know
ML> it... in NT, 2k and XP, DOS is emulated... or better said, the old DOS
ML> is emulated...
Very nice emulation, if you ask me.
Hurrah for Tom W. He got to Read/Reply
OFF LINE.
