 My first cat did that, too.  Her fur was gray and white and got on
 everything.  (I started wearing only light colored clothes so no one
 else would notice.)  It never failed that I opened the suitcase and she
 climbed in.  I had to push her out to put clothes in and then she was
 right back in.  She didn't want me to be gone.
