RS> That may or may not be possible. You just dont know. Neither do
 RS> I.

Yes, I do. It's not possible.

BL> Actually, I have already thought of a way to do it. All I need
BL> is two entirely separate strings for upper and lower case,
 BL> converting ASC() and CHR$(),

RS> Yeah, thats the general approach that I though might be worth
 RS> pursuing and didnt bother.

No... that didn't work either. It's not possible.

RS> Dunno. The thing you havent tried in that area is revamping the
RS> CRC algorithm itself so it uses more than must + and - but not
RS> say XOR. In other words allow the use of * and / as well say.

I already did that. Paul was showing how clever he was writing code
for pensioner dickheads to copy, but I already know how clever I am,
so I simplified it. It was the version with the * and / that took 20
seconds to run through 128 times. Telemate script is very slow. The
QBasic calculator takes no time at all.

RS> You do realise that Basic causes brain damage ?

Yair, but it's a lot easier on my dog. I only have to give her a
good kicking twice a day, now. With Telemate I've worn out a pair of
hob-nailed boots.

RS> Maybe you have enough of that already that a bit more wont be
 RS> noticeable |-)

My brain is in mint condition. I have the brain of a five-year-old.
I've hardly ever used it.

Regards,
Bob
