It wasn't till the end of your message that you point out that you are
trying to run this under a version of Windows, and at that you didn't state
which version of windows you are running under. Most of the software has
not been tested or used with the latest Windows OS releases, such as
Windows XP.

I do not have experience with what you are trying to do in your
enviornment. If COM/IP allows what SIO VMODEM supports under OS/2, then
getting a door to work in your enviornment will depend on how the door is
written. I think I've seen some questions / comments about this in the
past, but it was a long time ago. Hopefully, someone will answer you that
has current experience, but since BBS's have been closing down, it might
not happen.... :( If you can find old database of messages in this area
to review that might help. If you cann't find it else where, you can
telnet to my system and ask for access. Please meke sure that you
reference this note and that you need access to the muffin echo. Because
this is a maximus sysop echo, I have access restricted and will need to
tweak my configuration to give you access here.

Best wishes, and take care.....

DH> Well, its been a few years since I setup Door Programs
DH> in Maximus, so I'm looking for a little help. I grabbed
DH> a copy of Trade Wars, set it up in
 DH> c:\doors\tw.

DH> I then created a .bat file called "tw.bat," and have it
sitting in c:\max.
DH> The .bat file lines are:

 DH> cd\doors\tw
 DH> copy c:\max\misc\dorinfo1.def c:\doors\tw\dorinfo.def
 DH> set twnode=1
 DH> tw2002.exe
 DH> exit

DH> Local logon tests passed, but, when I telnet in, and
DH> try to run Trade Wars (using Hyperterminal), I don't
DH> "see" trade wars crank up, but when I monitor
DH> the node, I see trade wars asking for my name. I setup
DH> trade wars to use dorinfo.def, and told it the drop
 DH> file was in c:\doors\tw.

DH> Should not I see trade wars run in the hyperterminal
DH> window instead of the BBS's window. I guess what I am
DH> asking is, will users be sent directly into trade wars.

DH> Last note, I run a telnet only system using a registered copy of COMP/IP.
