-=> Did Jerry Schwartz actually say this?
JS> 1. Have you ever met anyone who was addicted to Ritalin?
No, I haven't. (Btw, I *am* K'tir; I goofed up and uploaded the wrong
packet to the wrong name.)
JS> 2. Why would a natural/herbal remedy (e.g., opium, cocaine) be
JS> less addictive than a chemically produced one, assuming equivalent
JS> potency?
Because it might work better with me. Remember that I said what was in
my record --that medications may *not* work with me? That's true; I found
out the hard way with antihistimines. I can't take Tavist; chlor-trimeton
makes me sleepy; and it seems that Seldane is the only one I *can* take
without side effects. (I just wish it wasn't a 'script drug. :< )
Caffeine calms me down, but I *hate* coffee; I've come up with a solution
for that--20 oz. bottles of Diet Coke. (This way I can control how much
I have in one day.)
Also, I've made a compromise with Mom: go on a trial of Ritalin and see
what happens. It *could* be the same drug that made me a zombie (Mom's
wording) so long ago when I was first diagnosed, but then.....
Blessings,
T. Wirs
