The last plan I heard about it all was to post to TUXPOWER but that idea seems
to have fallen by the wayside for whatever reason.  My best guess for your
needs would be to configure msged to use vim - or any other utf8 capable editor
of your choosing - as a backend in msged.cfg.  That way you are in step with
all the sysop tools you appear to want which is a good thing.  :::patent
