Hi David, :)
Good to 'see' you here. :)
DH> Well, its been a few years since I setup Door Programs in Maximus, so
[...]
Since the door runs from remote, it sounds like you got the part about
editing a menu all done. Is it like riding a bike? ...never
forget...
However...
DH> Last note, I run a telnet only system using a registered copy of
DH> COMP/IP.
Here I have just about zilch experience. My system is dial up and OS/2.
I have met a few folks, that use Max under WinXX to make their systems
reachable by telnet. Maybe I could find one of them.
My first reaction to what you describe is that your door is not talking to
the COM port, be it real or virtual or whatever happens with telnet. It
is not taking its input from the com port, not sending its output there.
Thus, you can't see it when telnetting in.
I can't comment on dorinfo1.def either... I've always used door.sys. Its
been so long, that I've forgotten why - I think I got the impression that
door.sys is better.
Are you 100% sure the door is finding dorinfo1.def?
Next, go look at that dorinfo1.def. Does it have the right information in it?
Such that the door knows where to look for input? and where to send its output?
Btw, back on June 26, I routed a netmail to you, at your primary address of
1:273/441. Did you get that?
Thom and I wanted to double check on a route to Net273.
....Joe
