Sure, here are some tips......
     1.  If you don't have a Cat. converter.  Put one on temporarily.
     2.  If you have disabled the emission controls on your car, hook 
         them up temporarily.
     3.  Don't go right after you have filled up your tank.
     4.  Your friendly local mechanic should have a tester, check with 
         him before you see your friendly  local registar.

Our Minnesota neighbors have to go through that crap too.  People can't 
afford to keep their cars "showroom floor" quality year round.  These 
new standards are designed to weed out the poor people.
