The plugs in my Silverado are still factory with 72k on them. Even though
they're 10yo, they perform just as good as they did when it had 28k on
it, aka the day I bought it.

Oil will be and is contaminated by water condensation, creating sludge
that gathers in crankcases, etc.. Cats will also be cooled by that same
condensation, that is, until it gets hot enough to make steam out of
it...then it'll exit the system.
