Mark, I usually do my bevel making at the sink under a stream of water
which means that any grit spalled off by the stone tends to immediatly get
washed down the drain.  Also allows for a full cleanup of the coarse grit,
even when at the 12 micron level, without fear of dropping some at the
workstation.
