subject: Data Conversion

I've run into a problem involving a TCursor.
I have two tables with identical structures. One is a history table of the
other.
I use a TCursor to check and see if a record already exist in the history
table. The field I use is a SSN field with the picture ###-##-####(A11).
The problem arises when I try and open a form and movetorecord. I get a
wrong type mesaage. Saying that a string can not be converted to a lognint.
As long as I donot try to access the form I have no problems.
How can the conversion be solved. It always fails on the first character
after the first hyphen in the picture statement.
Thanks,
Frank
