We'd sleep in our bedroom, where the BBS is right now. The big room that I'm
talking about is the room across the hall that I keep everyone's cloths in.
So...if we move the girls it will be: the clothes in our room, the girls
across
the hall, and the BBS in the small room downstairs. I still need to clear the
BBS downstairs bit with Dan...and it'll be a lot of work disassembling the
loft
beds downstairs and moving the girls up...so we'll see...
As for their own spaces, we don't have the room to give them their own rooms.
We do have another room out in the detached garage that a teen can use, but
that's a few years away, because Eleanor's only 10.
We've painted several rooms, including the girls', blue (Dutch Boy
Crystal Blue) because that's what everyone in our family likes. It's a sky
color...really opens up the place giving the illusion of space. Another thing
about the color is that it makes a wonderful background for murals :) Their
bedroom now has a big rainbow and sun and clouds and birds...and some
nicorns
and flowers that they painted themselves! If we move the BBS in there, I've
got
some cool mural ideas keeping with The Aurora theme...and we make new murals
for the girls upstairs. It's all still in the planning stage...

Paper mache: take flour and mix it with enough warm water to make a liquidy
paste. Then dip the paper strips (very roughly 1"x3") in one at a time until
soaked, wipe off the excess, and lay the strips across your base (a balloon,
bowl, whatever to give it shape) until the base is covered. Repeat with three
or four more layers and let dry. It'll make a hard shell that you can paint
r
decorate with fabric or colored paper.
Old newspapers are easy to get. Ask your next door neighbor or your parents.
I'm sure they'll be glad to get rid of them :) If none of them take the
aper,
I always have LOTS of newspaper kicking around here...just ask!

I'm finding mornings are best for my kids too. In fact, if I haven't got them
going by noon, I've pretty much lost them for the day. I have to get to them
before the other distractions come up!
                                 ...peace...
