RT> Hi,

RT> Well my "Maximus" test system is built and I have just
got Maximus 3.03b

Good.

RT> Well after much head scratching, and the changing of

RT> Can telnet to it, using WIN98 "telnet, putty also works fine, tho Linux
RT> telnet seems a bit slow. Especially after one enters

The "hangs" after the password on login and after log out are on
my system also, and are the same after I updated from CVS, but my last CVS
update was several days ago.

RT> Now to find my copies of Bink XE source code, and see how that goes,
RT> configure binkd, squish, also must see if I can get
 RT> FastLst to compile and
RT> work here, then I should be ready to play, ... oops, forgot, TimEd, and
 RT> MsgEd. :-)

Following Bo's instructions for compiling FastLst will allow it to compile.
I haven't been able to get the Version 7 nodelist compile by FastLst to
properly work with the compiles of Maximus under Linux..... I haven't dug
into the reasons why yet. [Nodelist info is used when entering netmail
messages to show the name of the BBS you are sending the netmail to after
you type in the to's fidonet node number, at least in the full screen
editor mode of Maximus.]

Take care.....
