Even the minister's wife in Austin said she liked the colours, even though
she'd distinctly said she wanted light, bright colours because the kitchen
was too dark, and wanted a room that was suitable for a family centre in a
family with three little girls (the youngest of which looked to be under 2).
Why would people try so hard to say something nice when they're obviously
stunned? She looked nothing short of relieved that the neighbours came out
with a steamer to remove the wallpaper and wine bottle lables only a moment
later

Genivieve has done some lovely, liveable basements, kitchens, and bedrooms
(lovely in a sense that they suit the people living there so well - raw wood
is not my preference)

The room looked nice on TV, but you know it would be like a cave to try to
live in it. Doug acted like such a jerk on that show, too, throwing tantrums
when the neighbours resisted him

I would never trust the show near my home (no danger there, they only work
in the US) but if I had the money I wouldn't mind hiring Vern Yip

If the show came to my neighbourhood, first thing I'd do is kill Hildi Santo
Tamas. Second thing I'd do is gag Paige Davis.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show done in Hollywood where the young fellow kept
taking shots at Paige - the one where Doug did the red and white designs on
the wall, and Genivieve painted the floor black to cover up the dog pee
stains. A most enjoyable show, with both sets of neighbours genuinely
pleased with the outcome, and some funny practical jokes during the two days

Laurie yesterday's shows were good ones, too Phoenix
