Root vegetables do fine. And sunflowers. Other nuts? The eating kind, I
assume you mean? Not a chance! First Nations folk call us "White Man" and
think we, foolishly, throw away all the best parts of fish/game we harvest.
I reckon they are probably right. :)

Our snow has been light this year; much too light. I dread next summer if
the snowpack doesn't increase within the next two months or so.

Hmm ... I do not see any negatory indicator preceding that "8 F"; am I to
SUPPOSE, then, that that "8" represents a pository integer (ie, suppository
number)? This morning (Jan 12/98) it is a balmy -20C. +8F OR C would be a
gorgeous spring day. :)
WE> www.amnesty.org has lots to say about USA and even some about Canada.
I noticed a little about Canada; nothing about the use of pepper spray in
Canada, though ... not even the fact, it seems to have become popular with
increasing use by the criminal element.
