SC> I've found the same thing, about the only thing you can do is to call up
SC> carrier individually and ask them to send you a coverage map for their
SC> territory.
I've done that, and so far not a single one has honored my request,
though they all promised to send me a copy. I couldn't even get a
covereage map from BellSouth in Florida for a customer who wanted to
subscribe to their service on his second NAM. He commutes between here
and there almost weekly.
SC> A lot of phones have a status monitor so you can tell which system you're
SC> have it turned on all the time on my phone, it's a nice thing to have. As
SC> drive around it reads out the signal strength as a 3 digit number as well
SC> the setup channel you're monitoring and the system ID. A list of
ifferent
SC> system ID's is in the front of the Curtis NamFax book so you can easily
o
SC> what system you're on.
That's a feature I haven't seen on any phones yet. What vendors offer
that feature?
