Be VERY careful with statements like that. Just because it is true of
methamphetamine doesn't mean that it is true of methadone (an opium-derived
narcotic), methazolamide (a glaucoma medication with a host of nasty side
effects which do NOT include exhiliration), methenamine (an antibiotic used
n
urinary tract infections), methergine / methylergonovine (used to stimulate
uterine contractions as a way of controlling bleeding), methimazole (used for
thyroid problems), methocarbamol (a muscle relaxant), methotrexate (an
anticancer drug), methoxsalen (used to treat a variety of unpleasant skin
conditions), and a host of other medications. None of these are uppers,
unless
you get excited by uncontrollable vomiting, intestinal bleeding, or similar
things.
Methane is not an upper, either, unless you light a match. ;<)
