JP>> Modem Connection (Melbourne) is no longer; it's now known

JP>> as USRobotics (USR bought the company out last week, I'm told).

 TM>

TM> Looks like the change of hands has been for the worse (for

 TM> support anyway).

TM> A few weeks ago I needed to speak to somebody in tech support

TM> (only the second time I've needed to since buying my Courier last

 TM> year).

TM> I called Modem Connection (where I purchased from) whose phone

TM> was answered in the name of USRobotics. I was given a number to

 TM> call for tech support.

TM> I've now called 3 times and left messages but nobody has yet

TM> returned my calls. I've tried emailing them from their WWW site

TM> but my messages bounce back.

If USR Aust. don't make their presents (presence) felt soon, U will all be RS

Seeing as you are in Melbourne YOU should make YOUR presence felt...

Go and camp on their doorstep until you get to see the BOSS

You will be doing it for Australia.

TM> Anyway, I'm having trouble receiving faxes on it from certain

TM> newish dedicated fax machine (a Brother plain paper unit for

 TM> one).

The latest SDL (sept 96) for the domestic courier solved most faxing

problems... when you do get USR Aust by the throat....get them to use

this one for the template for the australian x2 SDL.

And remind them that they have lost a lot of business in Aust, due to

being 18 months behind the domestic Courier, in SDL production

TM> I'm running the current Austel Approved SDL but am willing to try

TM> the newer "hacked" US code to see if that fixes things.

TM> If somebody can direct me to where I can grab it from and whether

TM> its possible to save on disk my current SDL version (in case the

TM> US code buggers things up), I would be truly grateful.

Get it off the man that did it...Steven Anderson
