JP>> I noticed that you logged onto Lateline on Sunday night. The connect

JP>> speed was reported as 31200 BPS, but I'm sure your stats (which you

JP>> will presumably mail me some time soon ) will
reveal otherwise.

RB>> Yes, You were the first BBS that I logged into straight after I

RB>> flashed the new x2 into the Courier, to test it.

RB>> I did not use your stats dump because I forgot to get an ATY11 ...

RB>> also the figures were not as good this time.

JP> A shame. I wonder if it was a line related condition or something

JP> relating to your new SDL.

More the line conditions at the time I think...We we in the middle of a

storm up here at the time.

RB>> Seems my TX went up to 33600 and my recieve from you stayed at 28800

JP> I wonder how your X2-equipped domestic(*) Courier will perform when you

 JP> return

JP> to Algester. Or were you calling from home the other night?

Got me wondering too, I am still in GODS Country...I'll let you know when

I am back in Hell (seems it has been as hot as hell down there lately)

JP> (*) Why IS it called a domestic SDL?

Domestic flights on planes are flights within the country they took off

from.... A Domestic Modem or SDL is presumably one that is intended for

the country in which it was made, therefore it is domestic to that country.

A domestic in a hospital is one who does the home duties for the hospital.

A domestic (with the wife) Arguement is done in their own home.

Get the picture
