subject: Moving Memory via FPU?

DB>I haven't programmed the FPU, but last time I checked it was a (F)loating
DB>(P)oint (U)unit. The renamed math coprocessor that speeds up various math
DB>operartions. What does that have to do with moving chunks of memory
ound?
It has the ability to load and store 64 bit integers with a single
instruction. (Actually, it can do 80 bits in floating point format, but
those are treated as f.p. numbers and normalized, etc., meaning that
what you later store will not be the same as you loaded.)
