Rachel Maddow hit it right on the head, when she described all the flat-out
lies that got us into invading Iraq, and how those lies blew up in our
faces.
First Bush and Cheney said Al-Qaeda was in Iraq. Lie.
Then, Saddam had a nuclear bomb-making program. Lie.
Then, Saddam had tons and tons of gas and biological weapons. Lie.
Finally, Saddam was a bad guy. Not a lie, however Saddam was just the
loudest and most bombastic of all those bad guys in the Middle East.
The *REAL* reason the US invaded Iraq? Cheney's buddies made huge profits
in no-bid contracts.
