"If the prosaic explanation seems strained, consider the
alternative: that the "UFO" was an extraterrestrial spaceship with
the remarkable ability to__selectively__ disable __many__ avionic
systems on the F-4, __only__ the radio equipment on an airliner,
without causing __any__ interference in any IIAF air-defense
radars or the Mahrabad radio equipment. Despite this remarkable
defensive capability, the "UFO" decided to fire an "old-fashioned"
rocket-missile at the second F-4, which missed the airplane and
landed on a dry lake bed __without__ causing an explosion."
Firstly, as pointed out before, there is no mention of a rocket-
missile in the report. There is no basis to make the claim that
it did not explode. The report states that this object was not
even heading toward the F-4 crew but rather directly downwards to
land gently on the ground. Klass seem to have mixed up the
sighting to his liking. There were two objects. The one that
followed the crew, which RETURNED to the primary craft and second
object landed on the ground and never went near the craft. Thus his entire
argument about the object shooting towards the F-4, missing and crashing is
complete nonsense.
"And the next morning this rocket-missile mysteriously
disappeared, leaving behind only a mysterious beeping radio
signal, similar to that emitted by crash locator beacons."
There was no rocket-missile. If it was a locator beacon why was
it never found? Kind of defeats the purpose of the instruments,
does it not?!
I might add one more thing, General Yousefi, a pilot of the second
F-4, and an air traffic controller have confirmed the accuracy of
the DIA reports on Sightings. Yousefi stated that ufo did indeed
land and went on to say that it was picked up on ground radar.
This is very different to what Klass claimed. Also the US Defense
Department has admitted that on that night its Defense Systems
Program Satellite was observing Tehran. They claimed that some
significant event occurred there but claim to not know what it
was (the pics remain classified).
