I have trouble enough getting a grip on things for one platform, never mind a whole bunch of them, and don't know how you guys do it. :-) BJ> I'm not sure if it will be worth getting things cleaned up for a BJ> new DOS version though.... I'm quite satisfied with the dos version I have, for whatever that's worth. And I don't use a lot of what's in there now, like that new language that came along with v3, RIP, and other stuff. The point for me is to be able to get a stable and functional linux version going, and be able to leave dos behind, anyway. The occasional instability I see in this system is more a matter of DesqView and QEMM than anything else, I think. Scott BJ> used a different make sub-system with an older (commercial) watcom BJ> compiler than what we are doing current development with.... I've been out of this stuff for so long I probably wouldn't recognize most of the tools being used. And it surprised the heck out of me to take that bit of code that was posted a while back (dos2unix), and actually get it compiled and working... :-) ---* Origin: TANSTAAFL BBS 717-838-8539 (1:270/615) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 270/615 150/220 379/1 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
