That's another aspect of things that I hadn't considered,  and it's a good point.

I have trouble enough getting a grip on things for one platform,  never
mind a whole bunch of them,  and don't know how you guys do it.  :-)

I'm quite satisfied with the dos version I have,  for whatever that's
worth.  And I don't use a lot of what's in there now,  like that new
language that came along with v3,  RIP,  and other stuff.

The point for me is to be able to get a stable and functional linux version
going,  and be able to leave dos behind,  anyway.  The occasional
instability I see in this system is more a matter of DesqView and QEMM than
anything else, I think.

I've been out of this stuff for so long I probably wouldn't recognize most
of the tools being used.  And it surprised the heck out of me to take that
bit of code that was posted a while back (dos2unix),  and actually get it
compiled and working...  :-)
