While I have only heard a limited number of Drake rigs on AM, and tried AM
on my TR-7A as well, I think high level plate modulation (e.g. Ranger,
Valiant, etc.) still sounds somewhat better.  But for "one rig fits
all" modes, some of the mods I've listend too have been significant
improvements over the stock AM fidelity.  Enjoy those Drakes!
