subject: ATM The Son of Coma Correctors

I might have missed this (with all the problems we have had here due to
forest fires) but during the discussion on Coma Correctors for fast Newts I
don't recall anyone discussing single element correctors. In the July '83
S&T on p.67 a Dragan Mikesic presented several formulae for correctors
based on the Maksutov design that were placed near the secondary. They did
not perfectly correct the coma but made the field much better.
Unfortunately, I don't have a raytracing program on my machine here and
cannot test this further.

Has anyone tried these? Is there any more information on these? Can this be
brought closer to the focal plane so the corrector can be mounted in the
focussing tube?
