Hello Maurice. 14 Nov 06 23:37, you wrote to me: MK> Both serious and jest. 64-bit is being tested here and it does work. I memorizing: "husky is worked normally on 64-bit platform". MK>>> Care to discuss future testing of suitable nonDOS-think format(s)? SD>> Whats "nonDOS-think"? MK> All the current Husky development. Not many, if any, MK> users can deal with squish nevermind the other standard offline DOS-think MK> formats such as bluewave, qwk, etc. ZIP (or another data compressing tool) does not related with DOS. Data compressing is needed for traffic economy (i.e. "thin" channel or big-cost channel: GPRS, channel with traffic-based tarification). Squish or another messagebase format may be replaces with SQL database to helps searching and data conversions (share one messagebase between newsserver, webserver and message editor). PKT may be replaced with XML. But i have one note: Internal data presentation does not interesting for user. User looks text on screen, not messagebase internal structures. Data storage internals is inteeresting only for developers and hackers.
